At Seven Locks, we encourage our children and families to give back to the community.
We offer several community service project options throughout the year. Students who participate in at least 5 projects, receive a special Wildcats Service Award at the end of the year in honor of their achievement!
If you’re interested in supporting one of these events or want to help with PTA community service more broadly, please contact Nyla Beth Gawel (nylabeth@gmail.com).

We will be kicking off our community service events with coat drive! Please consider donating NEW coats (please, no worn or used garments) in sizes appropriate for 1st through 5th graders. Collection will kickoff at the Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct 14, and continue Oct 16-20. Volunteers needed to assist in coat sorting on October 20th.

Students will have the opportunity to write letters of thanks and encouragement for our military heroes.

We will be collecting nonperishable food and grocery gift cards to support local families during this season of gratitude. Volunteers needed!

In partnership with kindh.org, each grade will have a family for whom to buy holiday gifts. Volunteer support to coordinate and organize gifts needed!

This Valentine’s Day we plan to collect CandyGrams to deliver to a local senior assisted living community. Have a friend, family member, or community we could support? Seeking an event leader to help lead this great opportunity to share our SLES love.

Monday, April 22, is Earth Day – it is also a day off for students. What better time to spend some time in nature as we help clean and spruce up the SLES and neighboring grounds. Seeking an environmental champion interested in serving as an event lead or support for this event!
